Some Pics..!

It has been really really long time since i visited my blog last time. I almost forgot that at some of time i started writting here, wasted significant amount of time while i was in iit on reading other people's blog, commenting on their article etc. By the way, right now i am in Aurangabad. I am home after a significantly long period of time. Just after completion my studies i went to Bangalore to join the job and this is the first time after that i am back home and really have time to relax for some days.

I really enjoyed my journey from Bangalore to Pune. It was very cloudy in Bangalore when our plane was taking off and i really enjoyed the view outside the window. I clicked some pics of outside view. While we were about to land in Pune, I clicked one more pic, which i can claim to be the best one i ever clicked. Frankly speaking, i am not much into photography and i click pics very rarely, still, this is the best one. In this pic, there is shadow of of our plane on a cloud and that shadow is surrounded by colourful circle of light. I am not sure, why that circle was there, may, because of moisture in air or maybe something else.

Thats it for now. Bye.

wishlist!

Since some time back, i am preparing a list of things which i really wish to have or things i really wish to do. Here are some of them enlisted...

6. Snowfall
My one of the great dream is to watch the snowfall. To be at place when snow is falling and play a lot on ice. Although there are few obstacles for doing it, greatest one of them being my inability to hold on in cold. To avoid this thing happening, i am planning to go there with atleast 10 sweaters with me and wear as many of them. I hope the trick will work on that dooms day.

5. Euro-trip
Travelling in europe! This is another great dream of mine. I really wish to travel across the europe, visiting different tourist spots and meeting with different people. I am very much fascinated about european culture, the way these people live life. Its the europe which gave birth to freedom and euity. Its the same land which everytime decides the course of history...Colonalisation, industrial revolutioon, democracy, globalisation everything emerged there and then rest of the world followed the trend.

4. F1 Car
Ya, this one is weird wish, i know that. I wish to drive a formula one car on proper racing circuit. Hey, i am not saying that, i wish to participate in any kind of race, what i want is just a simple ride. Those cars are really sexy and their speed excites me! :D

3. MacBook
These days, its said that, 'an apple a day keeps windows away!' I really wish to have this laptop of apple. The device is compact, attractive and most importantly the MacOS they have is awesome.

2. iPod Nano
As such i dont listen to music much but still this device makes its presence here. Its the cool look and feature it has which makes it an exception music player. Its a great companion while travelling or waiting in long queues.

1. MotoRazr
In advertisement, motorola pitched Abhishek Bachhan Vs MotoRazr. For a guy like me choice was not that difficult. Its the cool look and lots of different features brings this device towards the top many people's wish list. Since, new year's eve (2007), i am one of the proud owner of MotoRazr!

Thats it for now, bye!

back in the business

So, here i am back. After a long long vacation from the world of blogging i am back, again. In my almost every alternate posting i promise to be frequent at this place but it seems that break this promise is the only thing i am able to do consistently over last couple of years. Today no more promises, just the determination that ill manage to find time for blogging more!

Since Dec 6th to Feb 11th, life had been very interesting and many things happened in between. Many of them were happy and some not-so-happy. Entire december i was busy with placements. At first many companies rejected me and later on i rejected few offers. But at the end of day, i am very much happy with the fact that, i got the job, i was really dreaming for. By the way, i got placed in OnMobile, Banglore! I am really excited about this change in life which will be there soon.

Most of the Jan i was at home. Actually, thing was that, i decided to go back to home for a weekend after getting placed. So, as per the plan, i reached in aurangabad on one fine friday night but after that a lot of things happened which were not really planned. Unfortunately, while i was on my way from station to home, a dog came from nowhere and bite me! And after that i was compeled to take a vacation of around 15 days at home. And yaah, it is was nice time, no work to do, complete bed-rest, entire family and taking care of me and australian open on tv. Although the way all it came was not so pleasant but still it was as if i was in heaven.

In between, i participated in eureka, thats international business plan competition organised by entreprenuership cell, iit bombay. Somehow, i managed to clear two rounds of this event and my team was one of the among last 9 participants for the finals. Although, we could not do anything significant there still it was great experience for me. Got to learn a lot about many new things. Afterall, at the end, its the journey that matters!

Finally, i am back in the blogging business.... lets see where this journey leads me!

aise hi timepass...!!

It has been ages since i have written anything here. Since, last few days, i am trying hard to be regular at writting something but for one reason or the other things just dont work out for me. Although, i am a bit lazy in the sense of writting but still i have not disappeared from blogo-sphere. One thing that i never forget to do is reading the blogs. Few people write interesting blogs that its hard to resist yourself from reading them. Thanks a lot guys!

These days, weather in Mumbai is great. In the morning its cold and through-out day its not so humid. All-in-all, nice time to have fun around with you friends and specially with you "Just Friends" :D.

For me, my penultimate semester in IITB is over. These days placements are going on and the air is full of excitment that comes with it. Placement shopping is one of the memorable incident of my IIT life. That day, i went to many shops, from Pantaloon to shopper's stop. Tried many trousers and shirt. This was first time ever in my entire life i spent so much time on selecting clothes. Maybe its because, some moments in life are very special and we want everything perfect to cherish them.

Placement, getting placed somewhere, getting job offer from some company! Its an interesting phenomenon, its about making choices and choosing what you wish to do in rest of your life. In my case, i am still not clear what exactly i want to do?? Maybe, its too early to decide that or maybe, its the matter of time before i realise it! Whatever it is, i just want to enjoy every moment of this season, with my friends.

And finally, again one more time, i promise to myself that i will be writting blog regularly. Lets c, if in case ill be able to keep it!

Love,
Prashant

after long time...!

Today, i am back to my blog after a long break. Last few days were not so busy for me. Ironically, i tend to forget all the nice stuff i am doing when i have free time and get back to all those things whenever i find myself lacking time for them. As my schedule is getting more and more busy, i am finding it interesting to spend time on blogosphere.

Well, many days gone in-between. Lots of things happend. Midsems were perfect, after that i had a trip back home. This time, i was celebrating my birthday with my family and it was great fun. Then, few more lazy days in the campus. Meanwhile i participated in eureka, thats b-plan competition organised by entreprenuership cell, IIT bombay. Last few days were busy in resume writting and applying for job. By the way, i started my placement-scene with a rejection from shell and it seems that, road ahead is going to be more tough!

On lukhha front, lot of new developments. Just finished with new 'spiderman', the animated series, about to finish second season of 'I dream of Jeanie' and few more on list. Yestrday, i was informed that for the first time iit, we have 'kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi' availabe. Not a bad option to kill some more time.

Last few days were very frustrating for me. All my super-heroes failed in one way or the other. First, zidane incident in world-cup finals after that schumi getting retired in japanese grand prix and in last episode spider-man throwing away his dress. Maybe, thats the other side of life.

Its 3:30 in the night and me not feeling like going to bed.

of mumbai ki baaarish, bike and coffee!

Rainy season used to be my favourite one. I like to get drenched when there are mild showers of rain, i like the pleasant aroma of soil after first rain of season, i like the occasional visit of rainbow in the sky after a drizzle in some fine evening and moreover all i like to look at the waterfall which is visible from my roof top, when it rains. But ever since i shifted to mumbai rain is no more fun. Its not that the quantity that matters but its the time. Its endless here!

Everytime it rains heavily routine life in mumbai get disturbed. Traffic gets affected badly and roads start flowing as if they were rivers in their previous life. Usually on such days i prefer not to leave campus but today i had a tryst with Rain. I was having an appoinment to get my bike serviced and i was not willing to postpone this work due to rains or anything else. Finally i left the campus.

Today, driving was altogether a different experience. The same road which is supposed to be heavily crowded at the morning office hours was deserted but that does not mean that it was an easy task to drive. Roads were flooded in many low-lying areas and heavy rain fall reduced visibility on raods. To be frank, driving in such conditions is never-to-do experiment but if you are crazy for adventure then this one is try-atleast-once experiment.

By the afternoon my bike was ready. I could have easily came back to my room and spend rest of the day whatever way i wished to but i prefer to go for a long drive. And for me it was great time driving out there!

Evening was full of surprise for me. I got an opportunity to meet some of my old friends. Having coffee with them and remembering great-old-days was a perfect end to a perfect day.

wallet!

This morning was a terrible morning for me. I wake up early in the morning since i was suppose to be at the airport to receive some of my friends. After getting ready i was searching for my wallet and it was not there. I searched it everywhere in my room, everywhere i went yesterday and finally confirmed to myself that i lost it!

While i was driving to the airport, i was thinking about the things i lost along with it. And ya indeed there were many things, many important things. My driving licence, 2/3 debit cards, my id card, PUC certificate of my bike, few contact numbers for which i didnt had any backup and last but not the least, some amount of money (not sure how much!). One thing was sure, lot of time and efforts were going to be needed to recover many of these things.

Infact, that is how my life had been since last few days! Just missing the things here and there. I lost many things, broke many things and no matter how careful i was while doing my routine work i was just missing it. Something was missing in life and even though i know what, i was not able to make it write. Things were missing out of my hand and more i tried to hold them back it was turning into disaster for me!

But after a terrible start it turned out to be a happy day for me. Finally in the evening, i found my wallet hidding below some scattered things on my table. My first reaction was, 'Ohh sweety, there you are!' This was first time ever i was so glad looking at my wallet.

I hope that now the curse is broken and i will not be missing things anymore!

a 'friend' to remember

Chirag : Gawai mujhe teri fir yaad aayi!!

Whenever I get this message from Chirag when he is in lab, I know exactly what it means. Every time power supply in wing is tripped, i get this message, which means, 'please boot my computer.'

Another frequent message from Chirag, (once, this one was posted as comment on my blog)

Fwd: Mere Kapde
"Please washerman se le lo"

In a lighter mood :-)

chirag

These are the two messages i am really going to miss next year. Yes, he is graduating this semester from IIT Bombay. He is going to Banglore to join his job.

Chrag Jain!! Having a friend like him is a great fortune!! First time i met chirag in my second year when i became part of our wing - Voodoos. Ever since that he is an itegral part of my life. Although he is one year senior to me, relations with him were always more than a senior-junior.

There are many things about him which i can never forget. Treat times, Birthday celebrations in wing, Fundaes given by him, Late night long drives, Bike race on western express way - this was the first time ever i drive bike 100+. Whenever there were moments to celebrate, he was there. Whenever i was in need, he was there. When my heart was broken, he was the shoulder to cry.

Sometimes i wonder, how a person can be perfectionist in so many fields at the same time. He is born genius, stud in acads, poet, shayar, philosopher, plays mandolin and much more. Words are insufficient to truely describe him. Always happy and cheerful, i have never seen this person sad or frustrated. He has ability to motivate people. There is something in his personality which attracts you to him. I am fan of his poetry. Specially the one written by him for his valfi night - "kal main tumse na bhi mil paya to kya!"

Now, things are bound to change. Now there will be days when i will not get to see him. I will really miss his entry in my room at some random time and asking, "Aur Gawai, kya chal raha hai??". I will miss his presence around, when ill be having my end-sems or presentations. I will miss him, when there is plan for long drive.

One thing is sure, each time power will trip in our wing or collecting my clothes from washerman, it will remind me "Chirag Jain"!!
